Additional Mail Merge Codes: Additional mail-merge codes can be added to your program. For example, it may be desirable for you to be able to use direct dial phone numbers within the body of your templates. Here's how this would work:
A user, Wendy for example, enters her direct dial number in her DynaSend profile as: (414) 655-3607
The posted template contains the text:
...feel free to call me directly at <!--direct-dial-phone--> if you have any questions.
After the mail-merge takes place, Wendy's messages say:
...feel free to call me directly at (414) 655-3607 if you have any questions.
There is no limit really on what the mail-merge functionality can do. If you can envision a need for it, ask us and we'll see if we can set it up for you.
User Specific Stationery Templates: In some cases it may be desirable to create custom email stationery templates for various end users. This can be done using the same mail-merge principal, but a custom image is inserted, rather than custom text. For example, the following two users might enter the following image references in their DynaSend profile (they'd be supplied with the URL to paste in):
http://www.stationerycentral.com/images/BradleyGlasselHeader.png
http://www.stationerycentral.com/images/DeanLundHeader.png
Uploaded templates would then need to contain coding that looked like:
<img src="<!--stationery-header-->">

The result would be that all of Brad Glassel's messages would display his custom header at the top, and all of Dean Lund's would display his custom header at the top. Unique website links can be inserted in the same way. |
