Here are
highlights from a study conducted
by Lyris Technologies and published by DM News in October of 2005:
-
81%
of email users said they'd prefer to receive HTML email as opposed to
receiving plain text email.
-
93%
of all email users have set their email program to display images.
(Note: The content typed on our email stationery is always delivered
intact, whether or not the recipient has "display images"
turned on.)
-
The
professional appearance of well-crafted HTML email provides email
users with a cue that the sender is trustworthy (as opposed to the
plain text or badly formatted messages associated with phishing
scams).
